My Students

My students come from various backgrounds. I teach in a school with a majority of students who receive free or reduced-price lunch. Many are from single parent homes and low income families. When trying to meet my students' needs there are various learning styles that I must touch on. Centers and focus time plays a large role in meeting each of my students where they are and helping them succeed. I need more resources to make my centers pop and interesting to my students so they will stay motivated and focused.

My Project

These centers will make focus time fun and interactive and make learning fun. This will allow my students to stay focused and use their time to their advantage. Students will use these centers to focus on important learning objectives that they need to know to be successful this year and in the future. They will be able to independently complete centers, or work in small groups to help mentor each other to be successful. This will allow me to work with small groups or one-on-one with students who need extra help without having to take time to redirect the other students.
