I work in a Title I school where most students receive free or reduced-price lunch. Our school has a large English language learner population.
I teach English language learners who are having difficulty achieving an advanced high proficiency level.
Many of my students come with a reading performance of at least two years behind their grade level. Some of them also have gaps for math. I work with small groups to help bridge those gaps. While I am working with small groups I have the rest of my students working on math and science centers.
I am needing cardstock paper to keep expanding my centers so that my independent students can be challenged while I work with small group.
My Project
My students will have the ability to work in math and science centers in a designated part in my classroom. While I am working with small groups my independent students will have access to games, puzzles and taskcards.
My students need cardstock paper to supply my math and science centers.
In order for the centers to last me all year I will be laminating the material. I will also need a photo keeper to store my task cards in that way they are well kept and organized.
In addition I am requesting a math rug that has the multiplication chart for students to refer to and to use as flexible seating.
