My Students

Welcome to Kindergarten! One of my favorite things about my students is how quickly they have built relationships. They are so excited to see each other in the morning and when it's time to leave every single one of them is saying goodbye to each other. It is the sweetest thing.

Twenty-three students mean twenty-three different personalities, yet they all manage to come together to learn and grow!

Together we are growing into our future leaders of tomorrow. Thank you for supporting their growing individual interests and needs.

My Project

Little learners need opportunities to move, explore, imagine, and engage their minds by encouraging active participation and engagement within the classroom. I strongly believe in promoting independence within my learners at a young age so we can begin showing them how to take responsibility and ownership of their education. I have the most amazing group of students who are eager to learn and specifically LOVE our math center block. I want to be able to provide them engaging and durable manipulatives in centers and small groups so they can master the skills through hands-on student-directed practice.

Math Centers provide an opportunity for students to practice and apply skills and strategies taught within the classroom.

I have selected Shapes Instant Learning Center, Sequencing Number Puzzles, Pop Add games, How Long Is It? Measurement Center, Giant Tracing Numbers, Its a Snap Simple Addition Center, and the Monster Math Balance Scale to be able to provide my students with durable and organized Math centers. What I love about the center kits is that they provide opportunities for 4+ learners to practice the skill. Each kit comes with student-friendly picture directions and the manipulatives and boards are durable (SO IMPORTANT) and will last for many years! I plan to use the numbers Bingo and Jumbo magnetic tens frames to help with number recognition and differentiation in small groups. I know these new materials will bring extra happiness and excitement into center rotations.
