Help me give my students the essential supplies to have hands on experiences at centers by providing mini white marker boards, dry erase markers, erasers, and cardstock.
Our school is a Title I, public school located on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi. My classroom is made up of an energetic mixed ability group of students. These students are of high diversity of both cultural and ethnic backgrounds. More than 75% of my students also come from low-income households.
My students are seven and eight-year-olds who come from an array of different home situations, but at the end of the day, every family wants their child to be successful.
My desire is to provide my students with the materials as well as opportunities to help them succeed.
My Project
Everyday my students are engaged in many different types of large and small group learning opportunities. Students work in a small group setting throughout the room on different activities that help meet their individual level of learning that they are on.
With these supplies, it will enable me the opportunity to expand and further their knowledge in topics such as phonics, reading comprehension, grammar, number fluency, and place value.
Students love learning with each others and with a variety of hands on material. This will help them learn not only academic skills, but allow them to practice social skills, confidence, and responsibility.
