My students are very excited about learning, but it's hard for them to be truly engaged without proper materials. We spend the majority of our day at learning centers, but we don't have very many supplies or materials to make these centers engaging or purposeful.
My students are all five and six years old.
We attend a Title I public school in Oklahoma. My students are super pumped about learning to read, to add and subtract, to make patterns-- basically anything they can get their little hands on! I want to do all that I can to make their learning experience as enjoyable and meaningful as possible. My students are just starting their education, and now is the time for them to fall in love with learning.
My Project
Personal CD players and headphones will allow my students to work at a listening center. At this listening center they will be able to work on comprehension skills and reading skills on an individualized basis. LeapFrog phonics cards will help them build the foundational skills they need to become fantastic readers. The materials requested will let us create fun, interactive, purposeful centers in our classroom.
My students are very energetic and full of life.
Donating to this project will allow me to create centers for them that they will want to participate in. This will help my students learn more and learn to love learning.
