My Students

I am a Kindergarten teacher who loves working with the little ones. My students are mostly from low-income based families who come to school everyday eager to learn. I find that my students and their parents really value education. I try to create a community of friendship and acceptance through community circle meetings every morning. Our community circles are to get to know each other better and to have a space to feel safe and welcome.

My students work hard every single day to stretch their minds and their bodies.

They know that making mistakes is ok because we learn from our mistakes; our brains are growing even stronger with those mistakes. Through a growth mindset we are able to help and support each other in everything we do. I love working and watching my students grow every single day.

My Project

My students love doing center time activities. They are personalized for each students' academic level. During center time they love being able to work independently. These anchor chart stands will be used to hold student work. These stands will give students the opportunity to see their center time activity up and in front of them. They will also be able to stand and walk around while they work. Some students are wiggly and don't like to sit down while completing their work. Having anchor chart stands to hold up their work gives them the opportunity to walk around while they do the activity.
