Help me give my students the basic supplies to get us through the rest of the school year and card stock to create centers for the students to learn all that they can.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Our School is a Title I school with 100% of the students eligible to receive free and reduced price lunch. Student success is the goal for every student and faculty member at our elementary school. We have an outstanding school where we believe that each child can and will grow to his/her full potential and become an independent learner through our dedication to high-quality, research-based best educational practices.
The environment of our grade is one that prepares each student to be successful in and outside of our classrooms.
We use what we learn inside our classrooms to be prepared citizens for the real world. Our best learning is accomplished when real-world experiences are at our fingertips.
My third-grade students are a diverse group. They all have their own learning styles, embrace their differences, and are dedicated to their learning.
The students learn best when they have individualized, real-world experiences that connect to their classroom learning. Many students have jobs around our school to show their pride for our school community.
My Project
Everyday, students come to school wanting to learn. They do not always have the means to support their drive and desire. Giving students the help they need by giving them the supplies that they require to push them selves will help them go even further.
Early learning is often supported in the classroom by the use of centers.
Centers, created by teachers, require a lot of cardstock, cutting, gluing and coloring. Having these supplies available for the students with them having to borrow them from a friend will help them work twice as hard.
Working with students of all ability levels is hard to do. These small group and center activities that can be created in the classroom by the students aids in the learning by everyone in the classroom.
