My students need a table, chairs, and pretend appliances for the dramatic play center. They also need a new play town for the block center and some vehicles.
My students love to play in the discovery centers! Some of their favorite centers are the dramatic play center and the block center. The students love to pretend and these centers lend themselves nicely to pretend play.
My students live in a rural town in Oklahoma.
Our school is considered high poverty and many students receive free meals to help their families. We have a great school that works to assist families in any way we can. I believe that all students deserve to have a great school experience regardless of their economic level and work hard to provide a great educational experience for my students and their families.
My students love to discover and learn at school and center time is one of their favorite times of the day because they are able to use the learning centers to explore and learn independently. My students love to use their imaginations while they play and learn.
My Project
My students will use the table, chairs, and pretend kitchen appliances in the dramatic play center of the classroom to act out home living situations. Having the opportunity to act out home living situations in the dramatic play center helps the students to connect with and gain a better understanding of every day situations and develop their sense of self.
The students will use the town set and vehicles in the block center to act out situations that they encounter on a daily basis and situations that they are curious about. Having this in the block center will help students to develop a greater understanding of the different places in town and the different ways that community helpers help them, their families, and their community.
My students need materials in the dramatic play and block centers in order to expand on their imaginative play and aid their development.
The materials that I am requesting will be used on a daily basis by my students and will allow them to develop an greater understanding of everyday situations and how they fit into them.
