Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am an educational specialist (special education teacher) who wants nothing more than to give my students the best educational experience! My students are phenomenal and inspiring young people for many reasons, but what makes them extra exceptional is that, despite any personal hardship they may face, they continue to show up every day with high aspirations and efforts in their learning.

All students, especially those who have special needs, deserve access, materials, and experiences that provide them with the support and confidence they need to excel and achieve at their highest potential.

I want to be the teacher that does more than prepare her achievers with academic skills to excel in the world. I aim to teach the mind and touch the heart in ways that inspire my students to go out in their communities to make positive changes that will make their communities better places for everyone.

My Project

As a child, imagine the joy and excitement associated with setting goals, working hard towards it, achieving it, and earning a prize for the accomplishment. Help me reward my students for their hard work and dedication in meeting their academic goals and reaching new milestones. These prizes would be the icing on the cake to celebrate their accomplishments.

When working with students with special needs, each milestone achieved or goal accomplished is a huge undertaking.
