Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are amazing little individuals! The students in my class are diverse in every way! They are experiencing their second year of school filled with learning as they are immersed in a dual language classroom where they continue to learn a new language together! This year is a bit different for my students in first grade as we are learning both at home and at school while on a hybrid schedule.
The amount of growth they have in first grade amazes me!
Their little brains can absorb so much in a year and seeing them apply what they have learned is like a gift for me!
My Project
In the upcoming months our dual language classrooms will begin to celebrate all the different cultures around the world as we learn and celebrate the holidays.
Our 1st grade students will have the wonderful opportunity to learn about a variety of holidays and about the different cultures that surround them by using the resources that I will purchase off of Teachers Pay Teachers!
My students will also be able to feel included when they make their self portrait crafts using the different multicultural construction papers that will then decorate our classrooms all school year.
