My Students

A diverse and deserving group of 12th grade students that are adapting to distance learning without complaint. This group craves interaction and a sense of connection and any sense if a "normal" senior year. The CLASS of 2021 is resilient but they need a little extra love.

My Project

In the classroom I make an effort to get to know each of my students. One of the things I like to do is give birthday cards to all of my students on their birthdays. They are touched by the effort put into these personal messages. I have often seen that students keep these cards in their binders or notebooks for the entire school year. I have been told by many students that this is a practice I need to keep.

While we are in distance learning students still need connections to the classroom.

Sending birthday cards home will hopefully help foster meaningful relationships.
