My Students

I teach at a TK-6 school where a majority of the students come from low socioeconomic backgrounds, but this doesn't affect their thirst for learning. I have a great bunch of kindergartners that are so eager and enthusiastic about learning new things every day. Even though most students are English learners, their passion for learning overpowers.

Being able to provide fun and engaging materials will help students develop a growth mindset and promote 21st-century learners.

I want to create an enjoyable environment where students can be successful and thrive.

My Project

It is important lesson to teach students to embrace and have pride in their culture.

Being able to provide opportunities for students to share their own experiences is a great way to understand and respect each others culture.

Students are going to be asked to design a shirt to represent their culture. Once they are done with the design we will use the Cricut maker to cut out the design with transfer vinyl. Then we will used the requested Cricut Heat press to iron it on. Students will be asked to share and present their designs and why they are proud of it.

Valuing diversity means that we recognize and respect everyone's unique qualities and attributes.
