Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have a wonderful group of energetic students who are full of life. Every day, they work very hard to reach their goals.
My students come from different backgrounds in a Title I school located in South Central Los Angeles.
More than half of my students are from low-income households. My classroom is a melting pot of different cultures. My students are eager to learn and be creative every day. They are sweet, respectful, responsible, kind, happy, and curious students who love to explore the endless possibilities in our classroom. They are amazing kids who deserve the best education. I feel blessed to teach such an amazing group of students. I feel very proud of my students working very hard and trying their best everyday.
My Project
I am requesting learning tools that will help my students learn about diversity, love, respect, antiracism, equity, inclusion, compassion and kindness to each other.
The document reader will help my students see the lessons I will be presenting about diversity, kindness, respect, antiracism, compassion and inclusion and it will allow me to read them books through the document reader as they will be able to follow along.
My students will use the art kits to create posters and collages about celebrating diversity and different cultures in our community. They will use the clear boxes to organized and store their learning supplies.
They will also be able to create artwork that reflects themselves in their drawings.
