My Students
Our school is part of a small community and holds a very special place for me as a parent, teacher, and community member. One-third of our students are from military families and our school works very hard to maintain positive connections with these families for as long as they may be stationed here.
These connections ensure the success of each of our students and their families despite the changes and hardships they may face.
These children continue to come to school each and every day eager and excited to learn. They are amazing and add joy to every day!
My Project
This collection of books will support all of my kindergarten students in understanding that there are many ways to be alike and different from each other! A classroom environment should represent all children in order for everyone to see themselves and others as belonging. The classroom library provides the perfect place to celebrate differences, all while learning about others.
Providing diverse books will allow my children to learn empathy and understanding with their classmates and the community around them.
Your donation will ensure there are diverse books in our classroom library for all of our students. The message to my students is always "All are welcome here!"
