Our student body is represented by various socioeconomic backgrounds, which includes five feeder elementary schools. Our students come to school excited to learn and share and socialize. Our students are fun, friendly, kind and considerate, where everyone belongs.
The library media center is open before school, during break, lunch and after school in addition to the school day.
The library offers desktops, Chromebooks, classroom textbooks, literature, and a reference section in addition to a fully stocked library of age appropriate reading material to meet the needs of our voracious readers. The library also offers a quiet spot to any student that needs it.
My Project
The school will soon be turning 50!! Help us update our library media center. Every student on campus uses this room throughout their time here. Its a valuable school wide resource that we would love to bring into the 21st century to better serve our diverse population. We would like to provide bean bags, and other soft seating and cafe type tables to enhance the media center experience. We want to provide a quiet spot for students to read and study.
Our unique school is important in our community as many of our staff members and parents, attended the school themselves.
The library media center has had few renovations in its fifty years and could really benefit from a "make- better." While the technology, textbooks and literature has remained current, the furniture and feel of the library could benefit from a more current, modern feel. We would like a place that better reflects our 21st century students.
