My Students

The learners at our school are sweet, kind and caring. They are thoughtful and curious. I love to watch them celebrate every and anything. They are very friendly story tellers too. The learners try hard but the pandemic cost them a lot of good learning time. We are working to catch them up but it's tough. I am the literacy interventionist. I read with them and work on Fundations with them. I am here 4 days a week.

I am not always able to reward them as I would like but they deserve incentives.

They are always agreeable to coming with me. They follow directions wonderfully and try very hard.

My Project

I would like to celebrate their achievements with books. I would give the learners a book choice for achieving a new skill.

Literacy is a gift of adventure and an invitation of new doors opening.

Every new book we read together is exciting with new words and known words. The build up to the new book correlates with the attitude of the readers with the book. Imagine the joy on the learners faces when an new adventure is going home in their backpacks!!
