My students need books to celebrate Dr. Seuss's birthday in March. This project will allow all my students to take a Dr. Seuss book home to keep.

My Students

We are becoming readers! I am trying to instill in my students a lifelong love for reading. What better way then putting books in their hands by Dr. Seuss.

I teach at a Title I school where over 80% of our student population is economically disadvantaged.

However, my students always strive for excellence in all that they do. My students have a great desire to become readers and I will do everything possible to make that happen.

My Project

We will be celebrating Dr. Seuss's birthday in March with many fun activities including a birthday party. My students will receive books, pencils, hats, & snacks to make it a memorable occasion. Many of my students do not have a personal library at home. I want to change that by putting Dr. Seuss books in their hands to keep forever. This project will help provide the materials and books for this special celebration.

These books will help to instill in my students a love for reading that with nourishment will last forever.

They will be given the opportunity to start a personal library that can hopefully be added to over the years.
