My Project

"Celebrate Me" is our latest project; this one celebrates Black History Month, February 2023. Each student (Pre-K -5th Grade) will create a self-portrait depicting a future career choice. They will also be tasked with writing a biography to go along with their drawing. We want this project to assist them in thinking there is a world beyond grade school, and their rich cultural backgrounds and for them to set goals. Writing a biography will develop research skills that will be invaluable to them in the future. The materials necessary for this project are good quality paper and colorful markers and pencils so our students can create their special selves.
