Ms. Fawole from Atlanta GA is requesting classroom basics through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need food, decorations, certificates and gifts to put on an unforgettable celebration honoring their post-secondary plans.

This is my first year working in a high school and I am impressed by how intelligent not only academically, but socially, the seniors are at Grady High. The school's mantra is "Individually we are different; together we are Grady," and I cannot find a more fit description of my students.
My students are aware of themselves and their desires, and are willing to go the extra mile to make things happen.
They have undergone incredibly trying experiences and circumstances, but they are still persevering and reaching their goals.
Atlanta's atmosphere is one of high energy and constant competition, and having to grow up in that environment can be very hard. My students are up to the challenge and are excelling with college applications/admissions, scholarship awards and the overall college-going process.
Students usually know they've done well after some sort of recognition. Whether it's being honored at an award ceremony or receiving extra credit-- it's always nice to be recognized for your hard work. My seniors have made decisions on what they will productively spend their time doing after high school, and I want to celebrate them for that.
Giving out food/gifts at our Decision Day celebration will get students excited about their future plans, which I believe will motivate them to continue on the right path.
They will not only know in their heads that they're doing well, but they will tangibly see a result from their hard work, dedication and diligence.
The drinks, tablecloths and napkins are for serving breakfast before our official ceremony begins. We want to provide donuts and chicken biscuits along with drinks. In addition, the certificate paper will be for printing out certificates for each student that displays their name and where they have decided to go after high school.
