This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are awesome! Despite all they go through, they love to come to school, for many it is their safe space. My adolescent students have come a long way in the last four years.

Over the last four years they have become dedicated students who continuously push themselves to be better.

100% of my students receive free/reduced-price lunch based on their socio-economic status. I'm hoping to reward these students with a full day of fun by attending High Meadows for a class picnic.

My Project

This 8th grade class trip to High Meadows will not only be an amazing lifelong memory but it will show every 8th grade student that hard work pays off! The students in 8th grade have worked extremely hard the last four years at our school. We have gone from being a Level 4 under performing school to a nationally recognized Level 1 school in just four years.

These 8th grade students have worked extremely hard to improve their scores on state testing, their behavior, and their attitude towards school.

This super fun, whole class collaborative trip and picnic will prove to them that hard work pays off. Pushing them to continue to work hard in high school, college, and life.
