CD Players & More for students in SPED I Adore!

Help me give my students some individual CD players to listen to the books on CD (and help social distance), along with some fun reading games!

My Students

I am a special education teacher who works with two schools within one building. One school, the majority of kids I serve, is a Title l school with over 75% of the students coming from low socioeconomic households. The other school is a magnet school focusing on multiple intelligences. We run small groups in our resource room every day.

I teach all academic areas, but have a passion for behavior and social skills instruction, focusing on social-emotional learning.

I run daily behavior/impulse control groups. We also work with students in all academic areas. In our classroom, we serve students with all different disability categories such as ADHD, Autism, Communication Disorders, Intellectual Disability, Sensory Processing Disorders and more.

My Project

We were luckily funded for several CD/book stories! Currently, we have a listening center that does not allow for social distancing. This project will give students some individual ways to listen to the stories, bags to store them in, headphones, and fun reading games!

Struggling readers love to be able to access books of their choosing and do so independly!
