The school that I teach at is a county school that brings students from different school districts with severe needs. The students that we serve here have severe needs with behaviors or are considered medically fragile. Our students range from the age of 6 to 21.
The students here at school receive individualized education with Physical therapy, Occupational therapy, Speech therapy, adapted physical education and cultural arts.
The students use a range of different communication techniques and equipment. The students receive community based instruction along with a unique learning system. This school is to help the students get the attention that they need.
My Project
The theme for the fashion show is Catwalk Through The 80's. I am giving the students at my school the chance to be able to shine individually. I want the students to be able to show their personality with the clothes they select for the show. The show will show everyone who they are and what makes them unique. The 80's theme will still allow the students to express themselves and communicate.
With the lights and the decorations it will help transform our cafeteria and gym into a runway, and it will help give the students the feeling of being in a fashion show.
The cups, plates, and napkins are for the students to use with the refreshments that each class is making.
These materials will help transform the school into something they have never seen before. it will help create the 80's atmosphere for the students to show their personality on the runway. It will also give the students the opportunity to put their own person touch to the 80's style. I want the students to feel typical and unique at the same time.
