My Students

We are a district wide school that pushes for excellence through the use of sound teaching practices and the use of technology. We are located in one of the most diverse districts in California. Every student in our district is eligible by lottery. We make a difference!

Our students use the computer to write and publish stories, make PowerPoint's to teach or demonstrate a concept, and learn to research and evaluate information for veracity and relevance.

They also use it to work collaboratively using safe school blogs and wikis. They become lifelong learners and have the thinking skills to adapt. We are already implementing Common Core State Standards.

My Project

I have already seen what mobile access to the Internet, creative and learning programs can do for my students. The first of our laptops have been in constant use and enable my students to expand more into independent and collaborative projects. They are becoming excited self learners who can meet a challenge! My students need 4 more wireless laptops to complete our "Catching up to the Times" project that with help us meet the Common Core Standards.

These wireless laptops allow the flexibility, and skills necessary for collaboration.

They provide up-to-date technology and the experience of problem solving by working with different media. Most importantly they excite the students to learn!
