I teach 3rd grade at PS 184 in Brownsville, Brooklyn. We just finished our first week back to school and we are off to an exciting start. My students are highly motivated students with a passion for learning. As their teacher, I feel blessed to have the opportunity to work with such wonderful children. Because of their endlessly inquiring minds, my students have challenged me to make this year a learning experience they will never forget. I feel children learn best when they are doing what is being taught. I am planning many hands on, interactive activities for my students to ensure they receive plenty of diverse and empowering learning experiences throughout the year. Through interactive activities, class and individual projects, field trips, performances, etc. I hope to give the children the rich learning experiences they yearn for. I am proposing a digital camera so we are able to capture our learning in action. The students take so much pride in everything they do, I believe this would be a wonderful tool that will enable us to broaden our options and expand our creativity. This would be a classroom resource that could be used in endless amounts of ways. The children always love being able to show for all the hard work and effort they put forth. We are fortunate enough to have computers in our room that would enable us to create numerous different options for our projects. We would love to share with others the passion and excitement we have for learning.
