Catch the Rhythm and Speed

Help me give my students more time with equipment for a full class set of hockey sticks, speed stacks and rubber playground balls that have various uses including: kickball, four square and cardio drumming!

My Students

I teach physical education and have two schools that I teach at each week. In teaching grades K-6, I have roughly 1,300 students a week between two schools. My students love coming to P.E. and I try to get them as active as possible when they walk into my class to give them a good first experience with physical education.

My Project

The full class set of hockey sticks, speed stacks and rubber playground balls for this project will be used for various activities as well as prevent students from needing to share equipment in a large class.

This helps students use a variety of equipment to enhance their experience in P.E.

When students can have more of an opportunity to play with various pieces of equipment they are more likely to understand the skills and see the benefits associated with physical activity. With the ability to have one ball or cup stack per student that student will gain more practice with that skill and can have a more positive impact on their overall feel for physical activity. Having a positive experience with physical education at an early age contributes to their lifelong relationship with physical activity.
