Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My sixth-grade science classes are comprised of approximately 150 amazing students, many of whom come from very diverse cultures and backgrounds.
I teach a wide range of students from the magnet program, ESE students, as well as advanced and gifted classes.
Our middle school strives to provide an excellent education for grades 6-8 and provides a rigorous academic course load that is made possible by the fantastic teachers and staff who work in tandem to create a safe and accessible learning environment for all of our students.
My Project
Our girls are dedicated athletes who practice atleast three days a week. I would like to equip them with new shoes and practice clothes for the season to protect their feet.
Aside from supporting the growth of strong bones and muscles, one of the biggest benefits of running is its mood-boosting effects.
Running also builds community among our girls and it does not require a lot of equipment or a court or a field. It improves their focus and concentration in class as well. It is a win on so many fronts. Please support our girls!
