My students need lap tables due to limited space and flexible seating options. These will allow students to work comfortably where they choose.

Hooray! This project is fully funded
I am in my 4th year of teaching at the school I grew up in. We are a rural county who has faced many hardships over the past couple of decades and families often struggle to make it in the area. It is a beautiful area to live in, surrounded by nature and art. We have a supportive community that loves children!
Our school is associated with A+ Schools of North Carolina.
We are focused on the Arts. We are a K-5 school with approximately 500 students.
I have a variety of students who are quirky, smart, funny, and well-rounded. In my classroom, students have the option of flexible seating such as scoop seats, a standing table, and floor table. We are full of active bodies in which I encourage students to find a spot where they learn best.
These ECR4Kids Tables will enable students the freedom to find a comfy spot to work, whether on Chromebooks, writing, or reading. We can take our work outside or around the room. These portable lap desks combine the seat and the desk for a wave of comfort. It's the perfect option for students who don't wish to be confined to a traditional desk.
Students are more engaged with the freedom of choice!
Studies have shown students feel more confident and work harder when they are able to take ownership of their situation. Flexible seating is a wonderful start to begin implementing ownership at a young age.
