Cases to Protect our Technology

Help me give my students iPad mini cases so we can utilize our iPad minis in the classroom, and a set of headphones for students that don't have a set of their own.

Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Students walk into the classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day. Most of them struggle in academic areas such as math or reading, but technology helps motivate them to keep trying.

I teach at a Title I school in North Carolina where 100 percent of our students receive free breakfast and lunch.

A good percentage of our students have parents in the military. Many of the other parents have to work 2-3 jobs to make ends meet for their children, and over 75% live in poverty. Despite so many hardships, my students are eager to learn and do their best. Most of them want to be in school because they want to learn all they can so they can be successful one day.

My Project

I have already received a grant to help me purchase iPad minis for our school. We are need need of two more cases to help protect our investment so that the students may use these tools without the fear of breaking them. These cases also provide a stand to help prop the iPad up for easy use. I have also requested a set of headphones as not all of my students have a set they can bring with them to school to use.

Technology is growing rapidly in the world around us, and it is up to the schools to help prepare students for technology they will encounter outside of school.
