My Students

My second graders are passionate about learning. Learning excites them because they get to inquire, discover, and explore.

They are passionate about making the world a better place through collaborative learning, inquiry and action.

The school that I teach at is a Title I school in Minneapolis, Minnesota, which means we have a great amount of students on free-reduced lunch. We have a very diverse group of students who are learning the attitudes and attributes of an International Baccalaureate student.

My Project

This year, our district has updated our iPads and iPad carts! We are super excited to start using reliable technology, but first we need cases for these delicate tools! Our second graders have been waiting patiently to use these awesome tools to support reading, math, and global understanding through research.

In order to get these iPads into our students' hands, we need cases!

One of our biggest goals in second grade is the feeling of independence. These cases will allow students to use the iPads all around the room with out feeling like they may break something. It is expected that the iPads can last 5 years if they are well cared for. An essential piece of this care is to protect them with a strong case.
