My kindergarten students enter the door every day excited and ready to learn. They are creative, energetic, and keep me on my toes daily. They play and work hard. They love to dance and sing to help them learn. There isn't a day that goes by that they don't make me laugh, smile, or love my job.
They have worked so hard this year to become a community of learners that respect, love, and care about others.
They make mistakes but they have learned that mistakes are proof they are trying. They are young, but learning that hard work make anything possible.
My students are hard workers who have been extremely excited to learn to read. Their eyes light up when they read a book which makes my heart happy. I'm so proud of how much they have grown academically and socially this year. I wish you all could get to know them.
My Project
Every student in our school has an ipad. However, being kindergarten students, sometime we have a hard time with slippery fingers. When our ipads are broken, we have to send them away for repairs. Our district doesn't have enough ipads for everyone to have a loaner. It can take an extended period of time to have the ipad repaired. Our students are then without their ipads during that time. It makes it difficult to complete our tasks when we don't have an ipad to work on. Unfortunately, it makes for an interruption in the learning process. It's hard to keep up when we don't have the tools to do just that.
Our corporation, like many others, can't afford to supply all of our ipads with the cases we really need to protect them.
Many of our families are low income, which means they can't afford to buy cases.
Please consider helping us get cases to protect our ipads. It's an investment in us because our learning won't be interrupted due to repairs. It will help keep the ipad in the hands of the students where they need to be.
