Carpet Time is LEARNING Time!

Help me give my students a new rug for our classroom! Now that our old carpet has been replaced by new tile, my students need a comfortable place to sit, share stories, ask questions, and most importantly learn!

My Students

My bright, energetic Kindergarteners live in rural Greene County, NC. They are eager to learn, and are so sweet!

Our school may be located in a small town, but my students have BIG imaginations and even bigger dreams to chase!

We incorporate lots of hands-on learning opportunities and data-driven instruction to best serve our population of students and their diverse, specific needs.

It is important to me that my students feel LOVED, encouraged, safe, and comfortable within these walls. I know that providing for them in these ways will help them to reach their highest potential.

My Project

Carpet time is where we start our day as well as where we end our day.

It is important that we have a comfortable area to return to after group activities and independent exploration, an area where we come together to share ideas.

We share information about ourselves and our experiences. We share questions and answers with each other while on the carpet. We count, we read numerous books, and we think critically on the carpet. We sing songs about the days of the week and the months of the year on the carpet. We DANCE, we have FUN, and we LEARN...all on the carpet!
