Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are very curious and have a love for learning. They are creative and always put in their best effort. Our school is a smaller school with a close family feel. Everyone takes care of and helps everyone else. The staff is also very close and does whatever they can to provide the best education for our students.
My students are from a low-income school; they are not always provided the same opportunities at home as other students.
However, these students love coming to school every day with a smile on their face. They are so sweet and a pleasure to teach every day.
My Project
I would like to send care packages to my students during COVID-19. When we left school, we did not know that we would not be back for the rest of the year or have time to say goodbye. Most of my students come from homes where their parents are still working or have siblings that they help with.
I would like to send my students care packages to brighten up their days and help relieve some stress at home.
Many of the items in the care package we will use during our daily Zoom meetings.
