My Students

My students have such great interest in the environment around them. Wit being at a Montessori school we spend a lot of time learning about care of self, care of environment, and care of the world.

The students love to learn about different animals and their habitats.

My students have great interest care of animals and care of their environment. We are currently learning about fish and coming up next is nocturnal animals. They are so excited to learn more about our chinchillas who are our class pets!

My Project

With learning so much how to care for their environment and for the world the students would benefit greatly from the chinchillas being in a cage that is easily accessible to to them to see in and handle at all times.

This new cage will help the children be able to observe the chinchillas when they are in their cage.

The students will also be able to have a hand in care of the animals by doing things such as placing the chinchilla bath inside the cage, giving fresh water, and filling their dish with food. With this new cage the chinchillas will be in an open cage leading to greater opportunities to observe and discuss our class pets.
