My students are wonderful girls and boys who are respectful and work hard to learn. They are well-behaved and have bright futures. I teach in a Headstart-12th-grade school. Their parents are hard-working people who struggle to make ends meet. Because of the low economic area and poor families, I ask for very little on the school supply list. I catch myself spending a lot of my own personal money on classroom needs, but I know that it benefits my students and that one day, they will make a difference in this world.
My Project
My students are from a low socioeconomic area. Many of them are unable to buy or bring snack food to school to eat during snack time. We often see that they are very hungry every morning and we feed them breakfast. Many of them are also very hungry every Monday because some of them have not had enough food over the weekends, especially at the end of each month when food aid money is used up. I am asking your help to help me provide needed supplies and food for the children. Care for the Kids!
My students also often do not have socks to wear.
I picked out cute socks that they will keep up with and can hand wash them if they don't have a washing machine at home. They often have colds and runny noses and they need tissue too. I always tell them to brush their teeth and a tube of toothpaste will help encourage them to brush.
