Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our middle school is a wonderful school that strives to support and enrich students academic experience. We believe in our students and have high expectations.
The 850 students who attend our middle school are diverse and work together to make our school better.
The students in our school are special because of their desire to help their community, and their willingness to do so. We strive to build positive relationships with all students. Middle School students are recognized for doing the right thing.
My Project
Our students are living through a difficult period in our country’s history. Many have parents and family who are essential workers and have seen first hand the impact of Covid -19. As we plan to safely head back to school, it is very important to be able to support our students and staff. Our school and our classrooms become a safe community for our students, where positive relationships are paramount. We encourage students through positive praise, and sometimes a snack to help reinforce their great choices. When a student receives a Cardinal Rule Card from an adult, they can put their card in the jar in the office. The names of students are drawn on Friday’s and announced at the end of the day. Students then come and pick out a prize. Thanks for helping our school be more positive and impactful. This is a big job, and your help and support go directly to our students.
