My students are 5th through 8th graders who read below grade level. They are eager to learn, but often learning does not come easily to them. Many of my students are years below grade level in reading and writing by the time they come to me. Our goal is to make at least a year of growth each school year. This is a difficult feat. This is difficult because we are an urban school, many of my students come from poverty, and parent involvement is lacking. Teachers that I work with try to overcome this by providing all that we can during the time that we have with them. We can only do this with your support.
This project is the second project to supply our card making club. The first project was funded and we are ready to add to our supplies. Many of our students love to do arts and crafts but they do not have the necessary supplies at home. That is where you come in... We need to add to our collection of craft supplies for our students. My goal is to teach the students how to create quality craft projects.
These materials will help us build our supplies so that our creativity is endless.
In order to achieve this, we need paper, stamps, die cuts, ink pads, and adhesives.
