Capturing The Eyes Of Young Readers: Showcasing Books
My students need two Desk Top Book Displays to showcase our new Animal Nonfiction texts we received through Donors Choose! Making these texts more visible is a must!
Do you love walking into a bookstore? The smell of fresh paper... the idea of being surrounded by so many great stories and interesting facts... the colors of books imploring you to pick them up! I am happy to say that each year are classroom library is growing, but displaying books is an issue!
My fourth grade students are voracious readers!
They love to read adventures and fantasies and realistic fictions. They become captivated in story-lines, character roles, and those unexpected surprise endings that leave you with a sense of wonder! One of the challenges our small, riverside classroom faces is bolstering the interest in nonfiction texts. Our classroom has recently (through Donors Choose) received some wonderful animal nonfiction texts, but they presently are sitting in a bin on a counter and are easily overlooked. Please help these wonderful young readers see what they are missing!
My Project
The 2 Desk Top Display Shelves will hold and showcase the covers of these animal nonfiction books and other informational texts we have. They will lure in the readers with their brilliant covers and captivating titles like mosquitoes to the ever-glowing bug zapper! I have no doubts that displaying these books properly will lend to more students reading these texts and understanding how nonfiction works!
You have the ability through your generosity and kindness to boost the reading involvement of 26 minds this year and many more minds to come.
You have the ability to increase the interest and generate more young readers to find the satisfaction of reading nonfiction texts. Thank you for supporting the LOVE OF READING!
