My students are a hard working group of people. They are students from many different backgrounds. Some are children with parents currently deployed, others are transplants to the area. Many are from the rural part of the country, while others are from the nearby city.
These kids are working hard to represent the school in the best light possible, both here at school and in the community.
They are limited in the electives and activities they can participate in since the school is roughly 600 students.
My Project
At the beginning of the school year, we tried taking pictures of school events with just the use of cell phones as we did not have digital cameras. I provided two personal cameras to help with the taking of action shots at games but the pictures are not of the best quality. This was not enough. We need cameras that will capture the great moments here at the school but are not blurry.
This project is to obtain digital cameras for the Journalism class that I am teaching.
We can make this best yearbook possible, and also elevate the journalism class to be more than yearbook, but a newsletter and other media sources.
