My Students
My students are in grades k-4th. They have a variety of reading levels and math abilities but try their best every single day! My students are creative, thoughtful and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions!
My students are currently working at home remotely and they have difficulty completing practice assignments at home because of lack of supplies and resources.
Our school is located in Chicago and with everything happening in the world our families are struggling to find employment and opportunity.
Each child in my classroom absolutely loves learning and they deserve the best. Although the method and environment in which they learn best vary greatly. I incorporate a variety of learning strategies and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are! They are truly an incredible group, and I am so lucky to be their teacher!
My Project
This project will help my special education (diverse learner) students continue their growth in reading and math through virtual small group and whole group instruction. They have a variety of needs and benefit from engaging materials that challenge them. With the teacher pay teacher giftcard I will be able to purchase materials to meet my students IEP goals. These materials will be engaging in order encourage my kids to continue to learn and grow in their homes. These materials will help them increase their math skills, reading fluency and comprehension.
My students deserve to have all their needs met during an uncertain and confusing time for them. They are receiving individualized plans and these materials will help to ensure they continue to grow independently, socially, emotionally, and academically.
