My Students

Every day that I spend with my students I am more and more amazed at the extraordinary potential they possess. I can vividly see the leaders, dreamers, and creators of tomorrow. They are inquisitive and curious about our world. In the high poverty area that our school is located in, I feel an extreme desire to help my students create the quality yearbook that the deserve. My seventh and eighth grade students are impressionable, yet wise beyond their years. They deserve to have the right tools to showcase their talents and abilities.

My Project

Remember your school’s yearbook? Did you enjoy looking back at all the photos of the fun times you had with your friends? Do you ever look at them today and realize how crazy your hair was or how totally cool you were?

Photos make our memories come alive.

They take us back to a different time and remind us of who were were. Quality photos in a yearbook make all the difference. The more vivid the photo, the more vivid the memory. A yearbook can transport us back in time; and for a brief moment conjure memories of our younger selves.

I would like to put cameras in the hands of my very capable yearbook staff. Their photos, in our yearbook, would be enjoyed for generations to come.
