This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are creative, thoughtful and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. Truly, they are my inspiration!
This is a Title I school where the students get free or
reduced lunch. Many students in my classroom come in saying they have difficulty completing practice assignments at home because of lack of supplies and resources.
Our school is in a poverty stricken neighborhood where many of the families often struggle to find employment and opportunities.
Each child in my classroom absolutely loves learning, although the method and environment in which they learn best vary greatly. We incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and alternative seating and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are! They are truly an incredible group, and I am so lucky and thankful to have a new group of learners that are excited and ready to learn
My Project
These materials will make a difference in your students' learning by exposing them to technology in Reading and Math. The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students already have a "home." In other words, I know exactly where everything will go. We just need your help in getting everything through our door!
The donations to this project will help to improve my students' understanding of and competency in Math and Reading.
Integrating technology into classroom instruction means more than teaching basic computer skills and software programs in a separate computer class. Effective integration of technology requires support and training for teachers to better incorporate technology into teaching and learning.By having LCD tablets, students will be able to avoid all of these problems and focus on increasing their learning!
By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
Students will be able to simply focus on the academic material at hand. Plus in this technology literate world, any interaction with updated technology will increase their literacy as well as their desire to learn and use the new technology!
