My Students

Do you remember the first time you borrowed your parents camera to take a picture? Well, the students at my elementary school are capturing childhood memories at school that end up being trapped in the camera because we have no colored ink to print them.

My students are in 2nd through 5th grade and attend a newer school in Nevada.

Many come from military families and have attended multiple schools. Other students come from single parent homes or have parents working multiple jobs just to pay the mortgage.

My Project

Using digital cameras and having the capability to print out their own prints is an opportunity that most of these students would otherwise never have. Students will learn how to use the different functions of the camera, edit their photos with on-line editing sites, and display their prints at the end of year multicultural night for the whole community to see.

Without your donations, students would be unable to share their childhood memories.
