This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are seeking your support to acquire essential recording equipment for Abraham Lincoln High School's student-led video news - the Lancer Weekly Update.

Our enthusiastic students are ready to take the lead in storytelling, highlighting important school events and community stories through their own lens.

However, they lack the necessary tools to bring their creative visions to life. With new studio quality equipment, tripods, and microphones, our student leaders will be able to produce high-quality videos that showcase their talents and foster a sense of community.

They will help foster inclusivity, as the news equipment can travel all over the school, spotlighting every program and corner of our beautiful building. Our students share their cultural pride by incorporating multiple languages, voices and humor in their news segments.

Your generosity will help cultivate leadership skills, teamwork, and confidence in our students, empowering them to share their unique perspectives and inspire their peers. Join us in nurturing the next generation of young leaders!
