Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students have such big hearts and curious minds! They come from a variety of different backgrounds and different experiences. They are my first class, as I am a first year teacher and I couldn't be more excited to start embark in this adventure with them. They are eager to learn and make the best of the situations they are in. Our school is close to the ocean and our view reminds us daily about the beauty that we are part of, which we seek to not take for granted. As a class, we like to build others up and not wrinkle any hearts around us.
My Project
My students love exercising and playing sports. For P.E 3rd grade classes rotate so that everyone can play multiple sports throughout the school year. One sport 3rd grade is interested in is Capture the Flag. We have been borrowing another schools set of flags but need to return them soon and will no longer be able to play. It would be great if we could continue playing by receiving our own set of flags.
Receiving these materials would allow us to continue our love of P.E and exercising.
It will also let the students improve their team building skills and positive collaboration. The sport capture the flag encourages strategy and cooperation among young students.
