My Students

Making memories that will last forever is very important to children.

I teach in a public school that instructs students from kindergarten through 4th grade.

We have a class with 26 students. We have both regular education students and special education students. Our students come from a variety of backgrounds. Some have the gift of stay at home parents while others only see their parents for short times during the week. Our students are very hard working and love technology and projects.

My Project

We need a digital camera to take shots of our students in the building doing classroom work and fun activities for our district website and our yearbook. Each year we try to make sure that every child is included in the yearbook in pictures throughout the year and not just their individual shot. We want students to remember the experiences and learning they have done in our building as well.

For some students a yearbook is the only picture memories that they will have after they move on to another building.

Our kids do not always have parents who can miss work to come and take pictures of them during the day working and experiencing new activities. A camera on hand would allow us to capture the moments that unfold on a daily basis without having to ask for volunteers to come up to take "candid" pictures.
