My Students
I have an amazing group of first grade students. They come from a variety of backgrounds and each has his/her own strengths and interests. The students come from different situations and need to learn more than just academics at school.
Each student loves to learn! I want to help each student grow to be the best they can be. Each of my kids is a kind, caring individual who wants to be able to succeed in first grade and beyond!
My Project
Learning social skills and working together can be tough, especially for young children. Books are a great way for kids to explore social behaviors in a non-threatening way. Exploring social skills in this way allows for all students to be included and feel successful in learning. After reading, we are able to have discussions for days and weeks to come and we can revisit the books as often as we want.
With these new books, my kids will be able to explore social skills through stories we can read again and again! Since they are readers, the students will even be able to read them too!
