On March 13, 2020, my students and I were devastated to hear that our school would be shut down due to the current health crisis, COVID-19. While we understand the risk of being together and respect the governor's authority to keep us all home, this stay-at-home-order has changed how we do school.
The end of the 2019-2020 school year has been challenging! Schools closed due to the coronavirus pandemic, forcing them into a distant learning model that neither they or their parents had chosen.
I am so proud of my amazing students who have adapted to this huge change.
With the help of their parents, students have transitioned to a distant learning model where we utilize the Zoom platform to have class online. My students have done an incredible job throughout this process and are still learning and interacting with their classmates each day, which provides a sense of normalcy and routine during these uncertain times. Since we will not be able to celebrate together, we will be having a virtual Kindergarten graduation and celebration on Zoom. These caps, gowns, and gifts will help make our celebration special.
