I teach at a Title I high school. My students need scientific calculators to be able to successfully complete their chemistry assignments.
Currently, I have just seven Casio fx-300MS calculators in my classroom, with class sizes from 22 to 29 students.
Currently, my largest class has 29 students, but my classes go up as high as 32 students some years.
My school has managed to round up enough calculators for me to provide one for each student during class, but I have three different kinds of calculators, all of which require different instructions for entering in the calculations.
The only calculator I have in my classroom that can actually perform all of the calculations is the Casio fx-300MS calculator.
I want to buy a class set of 35 Casio fx-300MS calculators so that each of my students will have a calculator that can do all of the calculations necessary for my class, and I only have to give out one set of instructions for the calculations.
I want to provide a class set of Casio fx-300MS calculators for my classroom. Each of the chemistry teachers has 5 to 10 of these calculators and then a mix of other calculators that we have managed to track down. The students who are lucky enough to be able to get the Casio calculators at test time do much better on the tests than the students who are stuck with one of the other calculators. I have a mix of calculators set out at each table for the students to share.
I want each of my students to be able to take their tests with the same kind of calculator they use to practice with during class.
