My Students
I co-teach a bilingual 1st grade class in Providence, RI. Our school serves students from an urban low socioeconomic background. The class is composed by twenty six students including several with special needs. There is a mixture of different learning styles and academic levels in our class.
They are always eager to learn, and to interact during instruction.
A lot of learning happens during whole group instruction. Having the right easel can make a difference. Please help our students make the most of their learning time by donating to this project.
My Project
First graders sit on the rug for whole group lessons several times every day. We would utilize this easel for morning message, and every lesson during the school day that involves teaching the entire class. In addition, this easel can be used during centers and small group instruction.
Our students work hard in school everyday; they deserve the best instruction and this easel facilitates it.
We would love to have it!
The easel has a big book holder that eases turning pages. The same holder is used to place chart paper for writing and reading instruction. The magnetic and wipe-write side is excellent for math instruction, modeling and for students to show their skills. In addition, this versatile easel has rings to hang pocket charts that we use so much in class.
