Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I work in a new school that was opened to specifically benefit the children in a very low income, high crime urban area. My students come to school hungry. They have rough home lives and are struggling to get a good education. They need so many basic supplies before they can even think about learning!

100% of our students are on free lunch and free breakfasts.

My Project

Many of my students are not able to eat much at home. They rely on the meals at school and snacks to get them through the day. The students also need the basics like pencils and paper. The printer ink will allow them to print out their projects at school.

My students need Nutri-Grain bars, pop tarts, and school supplies to allow them to have a successful day at school.

Even though my school provides both breakfast and lunch for our students, they are still hungry. They are in middle school and growing so fast and want to eat all the time.
